Services Offered

I provide treatment and psychotherapy for adults who are experiencing a broad range of problems and challenges. These issues include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and low self-confidence. I have worked extensively with people who have difficulties in establishing and maintaining intimate relationships, and people that are seeking greater fulfillment in their personal and in their professional lives. Another focus of my work is to help adult survivors of trauma to understand and recover from the negative impact of childhood physical and psychological abuse. As a psychotherapist who also has a background in Fine Art I have an understanding of the special challenges faced by creative professionals.

Building Self-Esteem

What is self–esteem and why is it important? To esteem is to hold in high regard. Put simply, then, self-esteem is the state of holding ourselves in high regard. Self-esteem protects us from harsh self-criticism when we make mistakes and helps us to cope with life’s inevitable disappointments and frustrations. In my practice, I focus directly on building self-esteem because there is such a strong correlation between how we regard ourselves and growth in psychotherapy.
